Welcome to our website!
We are João(Jo) and Felicia, and we're delighted you found us.
We hope this page helps you gain a deeper understanding of our work and philosophy,
and perhaps even get to know us "a little" better.
Felicia was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. From a young age, her weekends were spent at the stables alongside her father, where her earliest memories were shaped by the quiet rhythm of horses and the unique bond between horse and rider. It was there that her lifelong love for horses and dressage first began to take root.
In 2008, Felicia moved to the United States to attend the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley). During her time in the Bay Area, she had the invaluable opportunity to train with FEI trainers, deepening both her technical skills and her appreciation for the discipline, harmony, and elegance that define dressage. Together with her horse, Touche, Felicia qualified in the United States and proudly represented Taiwan at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
After graduating from UC Berkeley in 2012, Felicia returned to her hometown with a sense of purpose. Her experiences abroad had broadened her perspective, and she recognized both the potential and the need for further development in Taiwan’s equestrian community. Guided by her deep love for horses and her passion for dressage, Felicia became determined to contribute to the growth of the sport and to help cultivate a deeper appreciation for true horsemanship.
João was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal.
He began riding horses at the age of nine and, from a young age, was determined to make it his lifelong career.
With this goal in mind, he did not hesitate to enroll in a professional equestrian school in Portugal for formal training.
After obtaining his coaching license at 18, João immediately embarked on his career as a professional rider.
In 2016, upon the recommendation of his coach, Mariette Whitages (a former FEI five-star international judge), he came to Taiwan to work. After beginning his coaching career in Taiwan, João also realized that there was significant room for growth and improvement in the local equestrian field, and that there is a wealth of talent and tremendous potential in Taiwan.

Since the day we met, we have shared a quiet but unwavering dream: to find a place that truly feels like home for our horses, and a space where we can work with peace, purpose, and the freedom to keep growing.
We hope to an environment where horses can live with health, comfort, and dignity, where they feel safe, unhurried, and understood. It is a place where training is not forced, but thoughtful and correct, carried out in a calm and steady atmosphere.
We believe deeply that true success comes from listening to the horse, from caring for them with patience, and from understanding them beyond technique.
Only when we truly respect their movement, their nature, and their foundation can they reach their fullest potential, both in body and in mind, and reveal a performance that is honest, effortless, and beautifully their own.
At the end of 2020, we unexpectedly found this stable in Beitou, and in that very first moment, we fell in love with it. The sunsets, the open fields, the surroundings, and the atmosphere all felt almost unreal, as if we had stumbled upon something truly special.
Today, we are doing everything we can to breathe new life into this place. The greatest gift is being able to wake up each day and do what we love, while sharing our lives with these sensitive and intelligent animals, and watching them grow, flourish, and feel at home in a place we are slowly shaping with care.
Through this journey, we have come to deeply believe that every detail matters, and that even the smallest, quietest actions can have a lasting impact on a horse. Often, it is the most basic and humble work that becomes the true foundation of excellence.
Because of this belief, we renamed the stable Cornerstone Performance, a name that reflects what we hold most true: that a strong foundation is everything, and it is where all progress, harmony, and performance begin.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank those who have believed in us and stood by us—you know who you are. Your support has carried us further than words can express, and without it, none of this would have been possible.

Located at No. 2-2, Zhixing Road, Beitou District, Taipei City, the property features open grasslands and a spacious, well-maintained environment, making it ideal for equestrian training and photography.
Our philosophy is to emphasize the physical and mental well-being of the horses, implementing CP’s comprehensive stable management and care system to ensure that each horse remains in optimal condition, thereby enhancing the overall quality of the riding experience.
Our training emphasizes three core principles: “health, precision, and harmony.” It prioritizes the well-being of the horses above all, promotes precise progress through careful analysis and guidance from coaches, and pursues a harmonious partnership between horse and rider. Through scientific training methods and patient development, it strives to achieve excellence together.
